Llevo mucho tiempo escribiendo en este blog, analizando lo
que veo, son muchos los que no creyeron, se dejaron llevar por la “mainstream
media” y anoche la victoria de Donald Trump cayó como un balde de agua fría
para muchos, especialmente para la izquierda, simplemente, triunfó la democracia y me siento
muy complacida.
En el 2008 cuando ganó Barack Obama, muchos lloraron de
emoción al ver ganar al primer presidente negro, anoche con la derrota de
Hillary, muchos lloraron de tristeza porque su ídolo no ganó y no logró ser la
primera mujer presidente, señores, hay que despertar del sueño, y ese sueño es
que quienes perdieron no fueron los ciudadanos de Estados Unidos y del mundo, sino los grandes
intereses...
Living in a Bubble
Indeed, Trump’s victory was such a surprise because the elites of this country have grown out of touch with the nation they live in.
In Charles Murray’s book “Coming Apart,” he describes the rise in America over the past 50 years of a new upper class that increasingly lives in a bubble.
This upper class, less than 5 percent of the nation as a whole, holds the positions that allow them to make the decisions about how the rest of America lives. They are CEOs and top executives, heads of nonprofits, top lawyers and judges, executives and editors who determine how the news will be covered, heads of TV networks and movie studios, top academics and scholars, heads of federal bureaucracies, and politicians.

Pero increíblemente, hay mucha gente que percibe que Donald
Trump es la encarnación de Hitler, se equivocan, este “outsider” es el
representante del pueblo americano, quien puso su dinero para financiar su
campaña, quien no cobrará su sueldo de presidente y viene con la intención de
poner a los Estados Unidos al servicio de su gente, eso se llama patriotismo,
quien no lo quiera reconocer es porque no se siente parte de esta nación, ni
quiere que esta nación prospere.
Para entender el fenómeno Trump hay que ser parte de ese
movimiento. Considero que de los medios que monitoreo, el más que se acerca en
el análisis de esta victoria es The Epoch Times...
Trump has promised to restore faith in our republic among citizens who had begun to give up on it, while rolling back efforts made by the previous administration to transform the way the United States is governed.
He has been not just a presidential candidate but the leader of a movement. The voters who turned out by the tens of thousands for Trump rallies, and cheered him on like he’s a rockstar, have feelings of grievance and a longing for change.
Those not in the top income brackets have experienced almost two decades of wage stagnation, and since the 2008 crash, they have faced high rates of unemployment. They believe that the lack of jobs has to do with lax enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws. With the passage of Obamacare, the middle class has seen its health insurance premiums become more expensive while co-pays and deductibles went up and the networks of physicians shrunk.
Moreover, feelings of discontent have been longstanding. According to Gallup, since October 2005, more than 60 percent of the American people have been dissatisfied with the direction the country is heading in.
In other words, large parts of the population have been hurting, and they haven’t felt that politicians have been paying attention to their suffering. On the contrary, they feel the elites have written them off.
McCullers to describe these Trump voters as the “leftover people.” Hillary Clinton seemed to validate their feelings that the elite look down on them when she told a gala in New York City that one-half of Trump’s voters are a “basket of deplorables.”
If Trump can vindicate his followers’ faith in him, he will heal a widening breach in our nation, as tens of millions of citizens who have felt alienated will once again believe our system can work for them.
In order to make that system work, Trump has promised to “drain the swamp” of the corruption that infects a rotten establishment.
This charge raised the stakes in what would have in any case been a bitterly fought election. Any time a democracy begins to consider basic questions about how it should be governed, compromise becomes difficult.

¿Merecíamos que Hillary Clinton nos llamara “basket of
deplorables”?
No, eso en mi opinión, fue la gota que colmó la copa. La
campaña de los demócratas fue mezquina, llena de exageraciones y mentiras, ni
Trump ni sus seguidores son racistas, ni islamofóbicos, ni anti-inmigrantes, ni
anti-hispanos, simplemente en los Estados Unidos se hacen las cosa bien, para
beneficiar a todos por igual y eso no está pasando.
Por otro lado, END publica que en Washington DC, hubo una
consulta sobre estadidad y esta ganó por un 86%...
La votación coincidió con las elecciones presidenciales y legislativas estadounidenses, tres décadas después de Washington D.C. aprobar por vez primera su plan Tenesí, por el cual mantienen tres legisladores federales “en la sombra” cabildeando a favor de la estadidad, con fondos públicos.

Ahh, esa es una pregunta muy interesante.
Creo firmemente que la estadidad para Puerto Rico se dará
con los republicanos, en la isla ganó el PNP, estamos en mayoría, así es que
Donald Trump tendrá que usar su liderato para resolver el estatus de Puerto
Rico, junto a Washington DC, la oportunidad de oro llegó... Such is Life!
